Night Commuters of Northern Uganda UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund) estimates that more than 44,000 children leave their homes in rural areas each afternoon to walk several miles into neighboring cities where they spend the night in the hope that they will escape abduction and abuse by a terrorist group calling itself the Lord's Resistance Army.

Refugee Services - During the recent civil war an estimated two million people fled their homes in Southern Sudan. Many settled in camps in Uganda and Kenya - over 20,000 of them settled in the Kiryandongo Refugee Camp located in Central Uganda. Since 1998 Saving Grace Refugee Services (SGRS) has been partnering with Far Reaching Ministries to provide relief, outreach, and discipleship to these Sudanese refugees.

Church Plants and Bible College!

The Lord is doing an AMAZING work in Uganda! Calvary Chapel Kampala opened in May of 2002, and was followed by the opening of Calvary Chapel Bible College, Kampala Extension Campus a few months later. Since that time, God has also led men to plant churches in Fort Portal and Entebbe.
