Reaching out!
Part of what God has been doing through Far Reaching Ministries, is facilitating the call of believers to go to the mission field because Jesus said "Go into all the world and make disciples". From that command, FRM has had a burden for the continent of Africa; to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; to see people taught the Word of God, knowing that "Man cannot live by bread alone but by every Word of God" and that life transformation can only happen through the renewing of the mind by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Leaving the comforts of home can be a scary proposition for some but, the thoughts of serving the Lord in a different way, outweigh the unfamiliar foods, unique culture differences and sometimes, cold showers. Africa to be sure is not America: things move much slower in Africa and patience is constantly tested in believers from the states. But perhaps God is calling you closer to himself and to follow Him to the uttermost parts of the world, to serve Him no matter what the difficulties may be. If you're looking for a luxury cruise vacation, FRM is not in that business. But if you have been stirred by the Lord to serve Him as a humble servant, FRM would love to assist you in reaching the world for Christ.

Hebrews 12:28 - Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

OK, so how do you get started? Well, here's a simplified version of what should happen. First, pray. Pray about how the Lord could use you in the mission field. Second, check and see if there is a scheduled trip planned for a time that could work with your schedule. Click here for the CURRENT PLANNED TRIP DATES for our scheduled mission trips. Third, if there is no trip scheduled for a particular time you are praying about, perhaps seek the Lord about starting and planning your own team to go. Please consult with your church leadership about such plans and find out whether Wes has spoken or is scheduled to speak at your church as this will be required for your team. Fourth, start the 'paperwork' process by filling out the application, release forms and reviewing the info pack. Fifth, ask the Lord for the provision of the necessary funds to cover the costs of your trip. (We believe that where God guides, He provides). Sixth, pray some more while you pack. And of course lastly, GO!
